Please Pray for Christian Sports Performance

Please be an CSP Prayer Partner and Join Us in Prayer for God’s purposes for Christian Sports Performance to be fulfilled

CSP is fueled by the power of God through prayer. We realize that apart from God we can do nothing. (John 15:5) Prayer is our opportunity to approach God and acknowledge our dependence upon Him for all things.  CSP covets your prayers and we ask that you would join our team as a prayer partner.

Note: Below the prayer requests are God’s words making the need and the power of prayer very evident.

God through his word has made the power of prayer very evident.

It is also evidence through God’s word that he has called us to lives of prayer through his word

Colossians 4:2

Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.

Eph. 6:18

And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.

So how can you be praying for SPS?

Pray as the early disciples prayed for the early church.  Use the examples of Paul.

Pray that God would fill us with knowledge of his will, that we would live worthy of Him, bear fruit in every good work, and grow in knowledge of God. Pray also that we may be strengthen with his power to live with patience, joy, and thankfulness

Col 1:9-12

9For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding. 10And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, 11being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully 12giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light.

Pray that God would open a door for our message throughout the world. Pray that we would proclaim his message clearly, and make the most of every opportunity.

Col 4:2-6

2Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. 3And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains. 4Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should. 5Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. 6Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.

Pray that we might not fall into temptation

Matt. 26:41

41″Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the body is weak.”

Pray that we may declare God’s word fearlessly

Eph. 6:19-20

19Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, 20for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.

Pray that we may be one in the spirit and unified in Christ

John 17:20-23

20″My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, 21that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. 22I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one: 23I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.

Pray for wisdom and the eyes of our heart to be enlightened

Eph 1:15-23

15For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, 16I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers. 17I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. 18I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints,19and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of his mighty strength, 20which he exerted in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, 21far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every title that can be given, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. 22And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church; 23which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way
